The endorsement is recognized both at events organized or co-organized by organizations that are members of the ICA and by other recognized scientific or technical organizations (e.g. universities, scientific associations, etc.). The endorsement help distinguish legitimate conferences from bogus conferences being advertised online. The recognition of the endorsement does not imply any financial support from the ICA.
The sponsorship of a specialty symposium is a financial support of an endorsed event organized or co-organized by organizations that are members of the ICA. To be eligible for sponsorship, a specialty symposium must meet specific requirements (e.g. international character, small attendance, etc.).
Applications for endorsement may be submitted at any time during the year and will be evaluated by the ICA Executive Officers. If approved, the organizers will be able to use the ICA logo in the promotional material and event website. The event will be also identified as “Endorsed by the ICA” in the ICA calendar of events.
With endorsement, organisers may display the ICA logo on their webpage and other promotional material. This display will help distinguish legitimate conferences from bogus conferences being advertised online. The terms and conditions for the application are available on the ENDORSEMENT OF EVENTS page.
ICA member societies are entitled and encouraged to display the ICA logo as evidence of their membership on their websites. Member societies are also encouraged to use it in a similar manner as evidence of their membership of ICA on the promotional material, webpages, and proceedings for their national and regional congresses/conferences/meetings.
This logo can be obtained from the ICA Secretary General.
Should ICA member societies wish to state on the promotional material for congress/conference that the event is “Endorsed by the ICA” and for it to be also identified as such in the ICA calendar of events, then they need to submit an application form so that the ICA has a record of the details.
ICA logo was designed by Logan E. Hargrove, Reston, VA (USA).
