What is the difference between the ICA Endorsement and the ICA sponsorship of Specialty Symposia in Acoustics?2021-06-23T16:38:09+02:00

The endorsement is recognized both at events organized or co-organized by organizations that are members of the ICA and by other recognized scientific or technical organizations (e.g. universities, scientific associations, etc.). The endorsement help distinguish legitimate conferences from bogus conferences being advertised online. The recognition of the endorsement does not imply any financial support from the ICA.

The sponsorship of a specialty symposium is a financial support of an endorsed event organized or co-organized by organizations that are members of the ICA. To be eligible for sponsorship, a specialty symposium must meet specific requirements (e.g. international character, small attendance, etc.).

When to apply for the ICA endorsement for an event?2021-06-23T16:38:16+02:00

Applications for endorsement may be submitted at any time during the year and will be evaluated by the ICA Executive Officers. If approved, the organizers will be able to use the ICA logo in the promotional material and event website. The event will be also identified as “Endorsed by the ICA” in the ICA calendar of events.

With endorsement, organisers may display the ICA logo on their webpage and other promotional material. This display will help distinguish legitimate conferences from bogus conferences being advertised online.
