International Symposium on Advanced Research in Noise Management of Maritime Infrastructures

University of Padova Via VIII Febbraio, 2, Padova, Italy

The Symposium aims to encourage an exchange of experiences and to offer a discussion table to the subjects involved in the main international research projects relating to the study and management of noise in Mediterranean maritime transport infrastructures, also opening the debate to local authorities, environmental control agencies and professionals working in noise control. Contributions from environmental protection managers of various port authorities in Europe are planned. The results of recent European projects on port noise will be compared and discussed.

AES 6th International Conference on Audio for Games

Senju Campus, Tokyo University of the Arts 1 Chome-25-1 Senju, Adachi City, Tokyo, Japan

Game audio began with simple beeps just a few decades ago, but it has undergone dramatic changes quickly. Today, it continues to evolve as a cutting-edge form of audio expression that incorporates all kinds of audio technology. The immersive sound in games extends beyond the limitations of multi-channel audio. It is an essential element of immersion that combines various factors, such as emotive, realistic, and interactive sounds, to create a truly immersive experience. Moreover, interactive sound expression is the essence of gaming and has evolved while being inherited. This conference aims to explore the fundamental nature of interactive sound expressions that have been passed down from the past and propose innovations that connect the present and future. Join us in Tokyo and immerse yourself in the world of game audio and rediscover its traditions, share your experiences with many colleagues, and witness innovations for a hopeful future.

Acoustics High Tatras 2024

Hotel Sorea Trigan Szentiványho 15, Štrbské Pleso, Slovakia (Slovak Republic)

The symposium "Acoustics High Tatras 2024" focuses on the exchange of theoretical and practical knowledge from various fields of acoustics, mainly on building and room acoustics, environmental acoustics, novel and sustainable materials and perception of sound. Interdisciplinary topics are also welcome, mainly those connecting challenges in acoustics driven by climate change. A special attention will be given to "Education in Acoustics in Slovakia". A brainstorming session on the preparation of a postgraduate study program on acoustics will be organized together with representatives of Czech Acoustics Society and international advisors (acousticians from abroad who will participate in the symposium). Program on the 12th of June will be dedicated to Young Slovak (and Czech) acousticians network. Slovak Acoustic Society is a small community that meets 2 x a year at locally organized events in Zvolen (September) and Kocovce (May), with 20-30 stable participants. Every 5 years, a joint event is organized, where international speakers are invited.

We will have two keynote speakers and the A B Wood Medal Lecture. There will be an IOA Young Members and UKAN Early Careers Group evening. The Conference reception and dinner will take place in the world famous Roman Baths and Pump Room. A Nick Pace Memorial Session is being planned for our friend and colleague died in 2022 after spending most of his career at Bath. In 2024, we will honour his memory and his many achievements in underwater acoustics, at the forefront of instrument development and field deployments, with presentations from many of his former students and colleagues. We look forward to welcoming our friends and colleagues from all over the world to present your latest research.

AES 5th International Conference on Automotive Audio

Uni3 Geely Center Pumpgatan 1, Gothenburg, Sweden

The conference will give an overview of the present state-of-the-art in some specific topics and address many of the new scientific disciplines, such as artificial intelligence automotive audio app applications, sound reproduction in cars, virtual acoustics, or voice & speech technologies, involved in this still-emerging field – Automotive Audio. It involves combinations of otherwise complementary scientific fields such as power electronics, bus systems, loudspeaker drive units, signal processing (DSP), acoustics & vibrations (NVH) and more.
