CALENDAR OF MEETINGS AND CONGRESSES

The 2024 AES 4th International Conference on Audio and Music Induced Hearing Disorders will be held May 29 – 31, 2024 at Aalborg University Copenhagen Campus in Copenhagen, Denmark. Join us for a three-day program filled with educational content for all audio engineers in the audio and music induced hearing disorders space.

The symposium will be a hybrid conference/workshop aimed at helping attendees to understand more about acoustics, particularly as it relates to a developing society.

The symposium "Acoustics High Tatras 2024" focuses on the exchange of theoretical and practical knowledge from various fields of acoustics, mainly on building and room acoustics, environmental acoustics, novel and sustainable materials and perception of sound. Interdisciplinary topics are also welcome, mainly those connecting challenges in acoustics driven by climate change. A special attention will be given to "Education in Acoustics in Slovakia". A brainstorming session on the preparation of a postgraduate study program on acoustics will be organized together with representatives of Czech Acoustics Society and international advisors (acousticians from abroad who will participate in the symposium). Program on the 12th of June will be dedicated to Young Slovak (and Czech) acousticians network. Slovak Acoustic Society is a small community that meets 2 x a year at locally organized events in Zvolen (September) and Kocovce (May), with 20-30 stable participants. Every 5 years, a joint event is organized, where international speakers are invited.

AES Europe 2024, will take place at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Polytechnic University of Madrid) in Madrid, Spain on June 15 – 17, 2024. Join us for the leading program of professional audio workshops, papers and special events, with the worlds top manufacturers and innovators.

The conference, taking place at the University of Bath, will have a series of oral sessions covering a broad spectrum of international underwater acoustic research. We will have two keynote speakers and the A B Wood Medal Lecture. There will be an IOA Young Members and UKAN Early Careers Group evening. The Conference reception and dinner will take place in the world famous Roman Baths and Pump Room. A Nick Pace Memorial Session is being planned for our friend and colleague died in 2022 after spending most of his career at Bath. In 2024, we will honour his memory and his many achievements in underwater acoustics, at the forefront of instrument development and field deployments, with presentations from many of his former students and colleagues. We look forward to welcoming our friends and colleagues from all over the world to present your latest research.

The conference will give an overview of the present state-of-the-art in some specific topics and address many of the new scientific disciplines, such as artificial intelligence automotive audio app applications, sound reproduction in cars, virtual acoustics, or voice & speech technologies, involved in this still-emerging field – Automotive Audio. It involves combinations of otherwise complementary scientific fields such as power electronics, bus systems, loudspeaker drive units, signal processing (DSP), acoustics & vibrations (NVH) and more.

This congress is the leading event in acoustics and vibration and provides an important opportunity for scientists and engineers to share their latest research results and exchange ideas on theories, technologies, and applications in these fields. The congress will feature a broad range of high-level technical papers from across the world: distinguished plenary lecturers will present recent developments in important topics of sound and vibration and include discussions about future trends.

The French Acoustical Society and the organising committee are pleased to host the 53rd International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering in Nantes, France, on 25-29 August 2024. The congress will favour rich scientific interaction and strong social link within experts in noise control engineering.

Acustica2024 – Tecniacustica2024

11 September - 13 September

Anual forum for presenting the most recent work carried out in the different areas of Acoustics, in the Iberian Universities, Research institutes and Companies. At the same time it will be a place for gathering professionals, make contacts, and to promote interactions in order to create synergies for future developements and research projects. The Congress will cover the most relevant areas of acoustics, including vibrations as well, and will be base on structures sessions where the participants will have the opportunity to present their work, an exhibition area for presenting equiments, systems, and acoustical technical materials and solutions. During the congress there will be 3 keynote lectures. There is also planned a set of social activities to better "agreggate" the participants, as wel as the accompanying persons. Special discounts for students and senior people are also considered.

AES Show 2024

8 October - 10 October

Step into a world of audio innovation and inspiration at AES Show 2024 NY, the flagship event of the Audio Engineering Society. This annual gathering unites over 10,000 audio professionals, enthusiasts, and exhibitors from around the globe. Whether you’re a seasoned expert, a novice, or a student, the AES Show provides a platform for collaboration, discovery, and learning.

This biannual congress is sponsored by the Iberoamerican Federation of Acoustics (FIA) and, since 1998, has been the most important congress for Spanish/Portuguese-speaking countries. The Best Western Premier Marina Las Condes Hotel will be the congress venue. The congress will include plenary keynote lectures, technical sessions, exhibitor areas, and social activities.
